The cottage is without a doubt the Crème de la Crème of this region. It’s location is plainly sublime: on the centuries old domain of the royal Cervini family. With well known towns like Montalcino, Montepulciano, Sant’Antonio, Pienza and Monte Oliveto Maggiore at a short distance.
An unpaved road - about four kilometers long - leads you up the hill to Cottage Montecucco. From this spot you have a breathtaking view over the valley, which is rich in olive trees and endless vineyards. At the other end of the valley lies the village Colle Sant’Angelo. We weren’t surprised at all when we learned that this region has a very high diversity of fauna. With a bit of luck you will cross paths with a deer, wild boars, porcupines or a fox.
Cottage Montecucco has an entrance through a pergola that is woven through with wineranks. It’s terrace has comfortable chairs and tables. The house was built in the seventeenth century and as a large and fully equipped kitchen.
There are four double bedrooms, each with a luxurious bathroom. There is a seperate television chamber and a lovely living room, where it’s extra cosy on cold winter evenings when you light the fireplace.
From the moment the weather allows it - often from the early spring till well into the autumn - you can enjoy the beautiful garden and the ability to eat outside. The garden includes also a private pool 4 x 15m pool, from where you look out over the valley, or relax in the surroundings of the cottage.
Children enjoy themselves immensly, there is plenty of room to run around freely.
If you want to visit the well known sights of Tuscany, Montecucco is an ideal place to stay. After a visit to cities like Siena or Florence, Montecucco forms a very welcome oasis of peace in this typical Tuscan countryside. For your shoppings you can go to the village Castelnuove, which is only eight kilomters or a ten minute drive from the cottage.

Landscaped garden with oak trees, lavender, roses, broom, rosemary and sage. A wine covered pergola with table and chairs for outdoor meals, the pool 4x15 meters (1.40 m deep) with second pergola for the shade and an outdoor shower.
