It’s the best choice to discover Verona with it’s opera’s, palazzo’s, Roman theatre, Italian haute couture, the Gardalake and the rest of this astonishing area.

Italian hospitality at Corte Guastalla, which lies fabulously between the romantic Verona, where the greatest love story of all times is set - Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet - and the beautiful and well known Gardalake with it’s majestic cypresses.
When Orietta and Franco Tommasi fell for the charm of the centuries old Corte Guastalla several years ago, a long cherished wish of Orietta was able to come true. She turned part of the Corte into a luxurious Bed & Breakfast, with a swimming pool in the garden.
Six charming room were created. Rooms without numbers, but named after her best friends. Orietta receives her guests in true Italian fashion, doing everything she possibly can to make you, her guest, as comfortable as possible.

The long - unpaved - driveway winds it’s way between meadows and trees, up to Guatalla that lies in the countryside between Verona and the Gardalake. We were surprised when we first saw Guastalla. It’s hard to believe that this Corte was shaking on it’s foundation not so long ago. Hard work and guts enabled Orietta and Franco to restore this estate to it’s former glory. The couple lives on the estate as well, together with a small number of lucky people.

Do you like to play golf? Golf Club Verona and Golf Club Villafranca are just a few miles away. If you prefer horse riding, you are in luck! There is a riding centre at a stones throw away.
