A luxurious historical Tuscan estate, offering all modern comforts in a green setting, not far from the Thyrrhenian coast with sandy beaches and cities like Siena, Pisa, Lucca and Florence close enough to visit during a one day trip.

We set out a search, and hit bulls eye when we found the Tenuta Trappola estate for you. After a stay here, you will confirm that nothing that we say about this estate is exaggerated.

Just four kilometres from the coast - in the National park of the Maremma - lies a wonderful safe heaven, it’s proud main building with three floors served as a tower to protect the shore from hostile attacks. Close to the tower are picturesque cottages where the owner and keeper of the estate resides.

A thorough restoration in 2005 carefully transformed the tower into an amazing accommodation, complete with all the modern comforts you can desire. It’s sublime location and colourful history make this a very attractive place to stay. Throughout the in- and outside of the house places where you can retreat and recharge have been created; you can sunbathe in a chair by the pool, reminisce with a glass of prosecco underneath the pergola, where you can also dine ‘al fresco’, or simply settle down in the living room with a book.

Tenuta Trappola lies in an area which offers very authentic nature. The countryside varies from rolling hills covered with pine forests, to sandy dunes and beaches, home to many species of waterfowls. The location of Tenuta Trappula makes every wildlife lover’s heart beat faster.

If you’re in to adventurous trips, we recommend a visit to the islands Giglio and Giannutri. Boats depart daily from the fishermen’s village Castiglione della Pescaia to the island Giglo. The numerous creeks and romantic bays are dominated by the old Aragon castle. Giannutri is a nature reserve, that is concerned a true paradise by divers and adventurers. Legends say that a Roman Galley sank right offshore, carrying a treasure.
