Bed & Breakfast Villa Giulia is a historical and monumental estate that lies in the rolling hills of Marche.
This Bed & Breakfast has a rich story with interesting people adding to its colourful past. For example, one of its first owners was Eugène de Beauharnais, stepson to Napoleon and Viceroy to Italy. He increased and embellished the estate. At the present time, almost all of the rooms still have this original French style and atmosphere.
However, the most remarkable person to have inhabited Villa Giulia is the person it was named after Giulia Ferri the wife of Baron Giulio de Rolland.
Giulia who shared with her good friend Margherita di Savoia - Queen of Italy - a love for mountain climbing, was the first woman ever to climb the Mont Blanc. The certificate of this expedition can be found on the ground floor together with many other photographs, paintings and memorabilia of an illustrious past.
In the recent past the last heirs have opened the residence for guests. Their hospitality has an intimate character. It is as if the Bed & Breakfast has been opened for trusted follower that suits the current standards of Trendy Looks and ' Feel Good ' atmosphere.
In addition to this, Bed & Breakfast Villa Giulia boasts a private chapel that was formerly used for weddings, a wonderful park ornamented by ancient cypresses, oaks and pine trees and a swimming pool that offers the same breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea. Beneath the estate are miles of beach that will allow you, if you are in for as change of scenery, to take a swim in the sea instead.
